Data controller

The GetGlobalJob team is responsible for processing your data. For anything about your data, use the address at the bottom of this page or the tools on your “My profile” page.

Data we process

Account: your email and, if you sign in with Google, the account identifier, name and picture Google sends. We never see your password.

Profile: what you enter yourself (target roles, skills, languages, experience, education, contact details, target country and work preferences).

CVs: their structured content and, if you upload one, the original PDF or DOCX file, kept in a private space only you can reach and downloaded through links valid for 60 seconds.

Your activity: jobs you save, your application tracking, the AI results and cover letters you requested, and your daily alert setting if you turn alerts on.

Technical logs: for each AI request we record only the feature, model, status, token counts and cost, with no content. Hosting providers keep server logs (including IP addresses) for security.

Purposes and legal bases

Providing the service you asked for (contract): creating your account, keeping your profile and CVs, ranking jobs against your profile. The match score is computed automatically with fixed rules, without AI, and no decision with legal or similarly significant effects is made about you.

AI features (at your request): your data is sent to an AI model only when you click an analysis, tailoring or letter button yourself.

Legitimate interests: keeping the service secure, preventing abuse and enforcing usage limits.

We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, share it with employers, or apply on your behalf.

Who processes your data for us

Supabase: database, accounts and file storage (servers in the European Union).

Vercel: hosting and running the website.

Anthropic: AI processing of your profile and the job posting, only when you ask. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.

Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.

Resend: sending the daily job alert emails, only if you turn them on (your email and the list of jobs).

Some of this processing may take place outside the European Union (notably in the United States), under safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Job postings come from public careers pages and partner sites; we don't send your data to those sources. When you click “Apply”, you go to the employer's site, which has its own policy.

Retention

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, all your data and CV files are erased immediately; any remaining backup copies disappear with our providers' backup cycle.

Cookies

Only cookies the site needs to work: your sign-in session, your chosen language, and a temporary token that secures Google sign-in. No advertising or tracking cookies.

To measure how the site is used, we use privacy-friendly analytics (Umami or Plausible) without cookies or personal data: only aggregated counts (pages viewed, events such as a completed profile or a saved job), with no tracking across sites.

Your rights and how to use them

You have the right to access, correct and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability (receiving it in a machine-readable format), and to withdraw consent at any time.

On “My profile” you can directly edit your profile, download a full copy of your data (a JSON file) and delete your account for good. For any other request, write to us; we answer within one month at most.

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection authority: in the European Union, the one in your country; in Algeria, the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data (Law No. 18-07).

Security

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), each user can reach only their own data and files through database-level security rules, and files are never public.

Minimum age

The site is intended for people aged 16 and over.

Changes

We may update this policy; the last update date is shown at the top, and we'll tell you on the site about any significant change.
