PeopleCert is looking for a Cloud Data Architect to join the relevant team and support data driven decision making of the organization by developing the appropriate corporate data warehouse/s, corporate data lake/s, cubes for self-service reporting, and advanced analytics & AI deliverables.
As a Cloud Data Architect, your responsibilities will include:
• Design, build and evolve scalable Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures on Microsoft Azure, aligned with enterprise architecture principles, security requirements and cloud best practices.
• Architect data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks as core components of the enterprise data platform, selecting and integrating capabilities according to workload and architectural requirements.
• Design modern data ingestion and orchestration patterns using Microsoft Fabric Data Factory and Azure Data Factory, supporting batch and incremental ELT/ETL workloads across heterogeneous enterprise systems.
• Design and implement Medallion Architecture patterns (Bronze, Silver and Gold) using Delta Lake/Lakehouse technologies to provide scalable, governed and reusable enterprise data products.
• Integrate diverse data sources, including CRM, ERP, digital platforms, operational applications, APIs, multimedia sources and custom enterprise systems.
• Design scalable analytical and semantic architectures using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and Databricks, supporting both centrally governed enterprise reporting and self-service analytics.
• Apply data democratization and self-service analytics principles, ensuring secure, scalable and governed access to trusted enterprise data.
• Lead and support Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives, establishing consistent and governed master entities and golden records across enterprise systems.
• Work closely with Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Governance, Data Science and AI teams to translate business and technical requirements into robust end-to-end data architectures.
• Establish architecture standards for data modelling, integration, data quality, metadata, lineage, security and lifecycle management.
• Design architectures that support AI and Machine Learning workloads, enabling governed access to enterprise data for advanced analytics, ML and AI applications.
• Monitor and optimize data platform architecture and workloads, balancing performance, scalability, reliability and cloud cost efficiency.
• Define and promote CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code and DataOps practices for enterprise data solutions.

• Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
• Azure Data Factory / Fabric Data Factory.
• Strong understanding of modern Enterprise Data Warehouse and Lakehouse architectures, dimensional modelling and enterprise data modelling principles.
• Hands-on experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines, incremental data ingestion and integration patterns across complex enterprise environments.
• Strong SQL/T-SQL skills and experience working with large-scale analytical datasets.
• Experience with Python, PySpark, Spark and Databricks notebooks is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Power BI, semantic modelling and DAX, particularly within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
• Experience with data governance, metadata management, data lineage and Master Data Management concepts and technologies.
• Understanding of cloud security, access control, networking, performance optimisation and FinOps principles within enterprise data platforms.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git and CI/CD practices for data engineering and analytics solutions.
• Relevant Microsoft and/or Databricks certifications are highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics or another relevant discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical architectures.
• Strong commitment to quality, delivery and collaborative teamwork across business and technology functions.
