Senior Product Manager

Powering Great Work We started as the place to find a trusted trade. Now, as we shape the future of home improvement, we're building the tech to transform that landscape for everyone - better products, smarter data, AI where it actually helps - so trades can spend less time on admin and consumers can find someone they trust, first time. That's Powering Great Work, and it's why every team here exists: 🔧 Trades spend less time on admin and more on winning work and growing their business 🏠 Homeowners get a trusted trade, first time, every time 🚀 We get to build products that change homes and lives across the country As our next Senior Product Manager in Media, you'll lead the development of our advertising products: the ways trades reach homeowners on Checkatrade. You'll improve what's already live, build new products from scratch and help launch an entirely new growth stream for the business. It's a direct line to Powering Great Work: giving trades better ways to win work, and giving homeowners a better way to find the right tradesperson. The job, unfiltered: • Design new advertising products and upgrade the ones already live, so trades have stronger ways to reach customers. • Turn user behaviour, market trends and performance data into product decisions that move metrics. • Work side by side with engineers, designers, data scientists and commercial teams. Get into the detail, ship quickly and solve problems together rather than lobbing tickets over the fence. • Run experiments all the time: A/B tests, pricing trials, performance tuning and live-data tweaks, to find out what great looks like. • Drive the launch of a new growth stream for Checkatrade. Your ideas won't sit in a backlog; they'll shape how advertisers connect with customers. The fit: • Product management experience. You understand how digital experiences work and you're comfortable shaping something new. • A product-thinking mindset. You can zoom out to spot the opportunity, then turn it into clear priorities, trade-offs and next steps. • Strong analytical instincts and confidence with experiments, whether that's digging into data or proving (or disproving) an idea. • A friendly, collaborative way of working with designers, data teams, engineers and commercial partners. • Clear communication. You can explain the why, bring people with you and make complex ideas easy to follow. • A bias for action. You're comfortable making smart calls in ambiguous situations and taking ideas from concept to launch. • Nice to have: a background in Consumer Marketplaces, ad tech or digital marketing. (Don't self-select out because you don't tick every box. We'd rather meet you.) What you get 💰 Competitive salary, annual bonus & equity scheme 🩺 Health, wellbeing and learning support 🚲 Gym membership, Smart Tech Scheme, Cycle Scheme 🎂 Birthday/special day leave, buy & sell holiday scheme ❤️ 1 week's paid charity leave, and more How this goes • Screening call with one of our Talent Acquisition Partners • First interview with our VP, Bookings & New Media • Second interview with our Principal Product Manager & Engineering Manager • Final stage: a case study presentation to our VP, Bookings & New Media and our Strategy & Operations Lead Not this one?
