Emergent Software is seeking an experienced Account Executive focused on net-new client acquisition and Microsoft co-selling. This role is responsible for creating opportunities, building executive relationships, and developing a strong pipeline through direct business development and close collaboration with Microsoft field teams. The ideal candidate has a proven track record selling complex technology solutions or professional services and can translate client business challenges into opportunities across AI, cloud, data, and custom software. Success requires a proactive, consultative approach and the ability to turn new opportunities into long-term client relationships. Success in this role means consistently generating qualified net-new opportunities, building productive relationships across the Microsoft ecosystem, and converting pipeline into new clients and long-term strategic relationships. With no commission limits, this role offers uncapped income potential. Primary Duties • Drive net-new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, strategic outreach, partner relationships, and Microsoft co-sell motions. • Develop and execute a Microsoft co-sell strategy with Microsoft field sellers to identify, advance, and close joint opportunities. • Build trusted relationships with Microsoft Account Executives, Solution Specialists, Cloud Solution Architects, and partner teams. • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities that supports revenue goals and accurate forecasting. • Develop relationships with C-level executives, senior business leaders, and technology decision-makers. • Understand client business priorities and technology needs, translating complex solutions into clear business outcomes. • Identify opportunities across AI, cloud, data, application modernization, and custom software. • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through discovery, solution development, proposal, negotiation, and close. • Lead complex pursuits by coordinating clients, Microsoft sellers, and Emergent technical and delivery teams. • Develop account strategies that generate new opportunities and expand strategic client relationships. • Position Emergent as a trusted consulting partner focused on measurable business value. • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual bookings and margin targets. • Maintain an accurate, current pipeline. • Support cross-selling and expansion opportunities across Emergent's service lines. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. • 5+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of generating net-new business and closing complex technology or professional services engagements. • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas. • Demonstrated ability to proactively develop pipeline rather than relying primarily on inbound opportunities or existing accounts. • Experience building relationships with C-level executives and senior business and technology leaders. • Ability to translate business objectives and operational challenges into technology and consulting solutions. • Strong consultative selling, communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. • Self-directed, detail-oriented, and accountable for results. Nice-to-Have Skills • Experience co-selling with Microsoft field teams or within the Microsoft partner ecosystem. • Established relationships with Microsoft Account Executives, Solution Specialists, Cloud Solution Architects, or other Microsoft sales professionals. • Experience selling Microsoft services and solutions. • Experience selling AI, Azure, data, application modernization, custom software development, or professional services. • Experience navigating complex sales cycles involving multiple business and technical stakeholders. • Experience collaborating with solution architects, technical leaders, and delivery teams to develop tailored solutions.
