Investment Banking Analyst

This role sits on the investor side of Pairs. In banking you built the investor lists and drafted the outreach. Here you run it end to end: you find the right investors, open the conversation, and book them into meetings with founders whose opportunity fits. The work rewards rigour. Every list is qualified before it is used, every message is written for the person receiving it, and every reply gets a next step. We are not raising a fund. Our investors invest directly in companies, so the work is about family offices, high-net-worth individuals, angels and funds that back companies directly. Our model is introductions and relationship management, not deal execution. Our platform handles the pipeline, research and follow-up. Your time goes to investor conversations, and to learning which investors are ready to commit capital. You will work directly with the two co-founders and our investor team, on a process that already works. The organisation is flat, so you will see first-hand how we screen opportunities, what we decline and why. This is an early-career role. The pace is high, and the people who do well here keep the quality high with it.

We are hiring an Investment Banking Analyst to research, reach and book the investors behind the opportunities on Pairs. Pairs is a global network of family offices, institutional investors, VCs and angels. We screen deal flow very tightly, and the opportunities that clear our diligence go out to the network. We invest alongside them too. THE ROLE This role sits on the investor side of Pairs. In banking you built the investor lists and drafted the outreach. The pace is high, and the people who do well here keep the quality high with it. WHAT YOU WILL OWN • Investor lists. Who fits each opportunity by stage, sector, check size and recent activity, qualified before anyone is contacted. • First conversations. Messages that read like a person wrote them, and replies turned into calls. • Investor meetings. Qualified investors booked with founders, with the context they need before the call. • Accurate records. Every conversation, meeting and outcome logged, so nothing is lost between calls. YOU ARE A FIT IF YOU • Have worked as an analyst in investment banking, M&A advisory, corporate finance or capital advisory, and have built investor or buyer lists on live processes. • Know the difference between a long list and a qualified one, and can explain how you get from one to the other. • Can write a short, specific message to a busy investor that gets a reply. • Keep your pace high without letting quality slip, and follow a process without needing a reminder. • Treat discretion as second nature. Please do not include any investor names in your application. • Use AI tools daily, with clear judgement about where they improve your work and where they would compromise its quality. WHAT WE OFFER • A fully remote, asynchronous role • Direct access to the co-founders and our investor team • Close collaboration with our internal team • Live mandates from your first week, and access to the opportunities that clear our diligence • Insight into our internal processes, including how we screen deal flow • Room to grow into a senior investor-side role as your network grows • A base salary plus commission Compensation Range: $90K - $150K Originally posted on Himalayas Investment-Banking-Analyst, Investment-Banking-Analyst-Intern, Investment-Banking-Intern, Investment-Banking-Internship, Investment-Banking, Banking-Analyst
