Fundraising and Donor Relations Associate

• Research and profile major donors, foundations, and conference attendees in advance of CEO engagements — so every meeting is maximized. • Own the follow-up. Draft outreach emails, thank-you notes, and cultivation communications as the CEO, ensuring the right tone, timing, and next step. • Move donors through the cultivation pipeline — from initial contact to scheduled meeting to funded commitment. • Identify and track grant opportunities aligned with Parity’s mission and manage submission calendars end-to-end. • Write compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, donor reports, and major gift case statements. • Prepare the CEO for speaking engagements and conferences by building briefing materials that surface funding opportunities. • Maintain and update the donor CRM, ensuring the pipeline is always current and actionable. • Proactively surface new funding strategies and prospect ideas — you don’t wait to be told where to look.

• Experience in business development, nonprofit development, major gifts, or a donor-facing fundraising role — we care more about your track record than your title. • Demonstrated success writing grant proposals or major donor communications that resulted in funding. • Familiarity with donor cultivation strategy and the major gifts cycle. • Comfort operating as an extension of a CEO or senior leader — drafting in their voice, representing their brand, and owning the follow-through. • Experience working in a startup, early-stage organization, or resource-constrained environment is a genuine plus. • CRM experience (any platform) is helpful but not required. • You are scrappy and resourceful. You figure things out. You don’t wait for a system to exist, you build one. • You are relationship-oriented. You understand that major donors are people, not line items, and you know how to cultivate trust over time. • You are a strategic thinker. You don’t just execute tasks — you see the board and know which moves matter. • You are an excellent writer. Your words are clear, compelling, and calibrated to the reader — whether that’s a foundation program officer or a high-net-worth individual. • You are driven by outcomes. You want to land big asks and you measure your own success by impact, not activity. • You are mission-aligned. You care about equitable development, community ownership, and the kind of work Parity is doing — and that comes through in how you represent the organization. • You are comfortable working independently in a remote, startup environment with limited hand-holding and high expectations. • You are energized by building something — you don’t need a fully developed infrastructure around you to do your best work. • You are drawn to organizations doing real, ground-level work and you want to be close to the mission, not at a remove from it. • You see writing as one of many tools in your repertoire — and the goal is always to move people toward meaningful investment.

• Fully remote, global • $1,500 - $1,800 monthly commensurate with experience • Generous PTO

Since our founding, Parity Homes has raised over $15 million — driven almost entirely by our CEO, who has built relationships with major donors, foundations, and community investors from the ground up. We are looking for someone to professionalize and systematize what we’ve built so we can grow in scale without that growth depending on one person. We are looking for a Major Gifts & Development Associate who brings ambition, drive, and genuine relationship instincts to this work. Someone who is energized by the pursuit — identifying prospects, opening doors, building authentic relationships, and seeing major commitments through to close. Writing is a key part of this role, but it is a means to an end. The end is securing transformational funding from donors giving at the $2M–$5M level. You will work closely with our CEO to drive major donor cultivation from research through close. You will think strategically, act proactively, and take ownership of the pipeline. You write because it moves people to invest in communities — not because you love formatting reports.
