Job description
Introduction
Curious about supporting a team working on real launch missions? Then Exolaunch might be the perfect place for you.
Exolaunch, headquartered in Berlin, Germany with offices in the U.S., France, and Japan, is a global leader in launch mission integration and deployment technologies for small satellites. With a decade of flight heritage and over 841 satellites launched across 49 missions to date, Exolaunch leverages industry insight to tailor turnkey solutions that meet customer needs and respond to market trends. Exolaunch fulfills launch contracts for industry leaders, innovative startups, research institutions, government organizations, and international space agencies.
Brand presence and consistent messaging are essential enablers of our success. As the Marketing Director (m/w/d) at Exolaunch, you will serve as a core strategic leader driving our global marketing, brand presence, and multi-channel social media accounts, while exercising hands-on ownership of our public image, press relations, and executive communications.
We’re looking for a visionary marketing leader and creative storyteller with deep expertise in luxury branding, premium positioning, and high-impact copywriting. The ideal candidate brings an exceptional grasp of brand strategy and global communications, capable of converting complex technical achievements into compelling narratives for industry leaders, partners, and international media. As a senior strategist, you will lead brand governance, steer cross-functional marketing initiatives, and oversee data-driven performance analytics. You will be expected to quantify Return on Investment and Return on Effort across all campaigns to ensure Exolaunch remains top-of-mind in our industry. You will lead a small but powerful and passionate internal communications team and manage external PR agencies and advisors as needed.
Strategic Marketing & Brand Leadership:
You will define and execute our end-to-end global marketing strategy, ensuring consistency of brand identity across digital platforms and industry events. You will collaborate internally with all departments to translate technical innovation into flagship marketing campaigns while engaging externally with launch partners, customers, investors and other key stakeholders to solidify market awareness and top positioning.
Communications & Executive Media Relations:
You will lead execution of internal and external-facing communications activities, such as press releases, journalist inquiries, events (internal and external), and internal newsletters. This includes keeping company templates with boilerplate language, numbers, and figures current, fielding interview requests and coordinating conference and other public speaking engagements for staff, enforcing launch provider guidelines for external communications from our customers, and coordinating press releases intended for public release.
Please provide a portfolio of your previous work with your application. This is a full-time, 12 month contract, based in Berlin, with renewal option at end of contract.
