Job description

At World Animal Protection, we move the world to protect animals. We are looking for a Talent Mobility and Acquisition Lead to help create a more skills-based, globally agile organisation. Working closely with colleagues across our global People function and with hiring managers, you will design and embed practical talent acquisition and internal mobility approaches that help us access the right skills at the right time. You will strengthen recruitment practices, improve internal opportunity and support the movement of talent across roles, teams, projects and locations. This is a hands-on role requiring systems thinking, strong stakeholder partnership and the ability to turn strategy into practical, scalable processes. Over time, you will build capability and transfer ownership so that the new approaches are sustained across the organisation. Please note, we reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications. We therefore encourage you to apply as soon as possible. What you will be doing • Designing and implementing consistent, equitable and high-quality talent acquisition and internal mobility approaches. • Strengthening recruitment processes, tools and governance to support fair and effective hiring decisions. • Developing practical ways to identify skills and match talent to roles, projects and internal opportunities. • Using recruitment, mobility and workforce data to identify trends, skills gaps, talent risks and opportunities. • Supporting global resourcing and mobility approaches in partnership with People, Legal, Finance and other stakeholders. • Building capability within the People function through clear processes, guidance, tools and coaching. • Gradually transferring operational ownership while continuing to provide strategic advice and oversight. What we are looking for We would love to hear from you if you bring: • Experience in talent acquisition and/or talent mobility within a complex or international organisation. • A strong understanding of recruitment best practice, candidate experience and selection approaches. • Experience designing and implementing talent processes and systems. • The ability to translate strategy into practical, scalable and sustainable solutions. • Experience using data and analytics to support workforce planning and decision-making. • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, organisation and project-management skills. • Experience building capability in others and embedding ownership within teams.
